Be ye warned - the tides of war At last shall break upon the shore. King Varian Wrynn says: Jaina! What's happening in Dalaran? Has there been an attack? I've handled the situation. King Varian Wrynn says: How? My trust was misplaced. I make no guarantees about those who chose to fight. King Varian Wrynn says: I was trying to negotiate with the Sin'dorei. I was opening discussions to bring them into the Alliance!

By attacking their people, you've forced their hand- Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: They chose their own path. King Varian Wrynn says: You've driven them back to the Horde. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: You're fooling yourself. Once Horde, always Horde. I see that now. I'm mobilizing the Kirin Tor.

King Varian Wrynn says: Jaina. We've got to work together on this. The Alliance must act as one. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Don't get soft on me, Varian. Note: As the Legendary Ring questline has been removed from the game, you can no longer start this quest. This is only mentioned here for historical purposes. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Have you forgotten the Horde's treachery? It's time to bring them to heel like the dogs they are!

Prophet Velen says: To fight two wars at once would be folly. For all our sakes, we need the Horde's strength added to our own.

Anduin Wrynn says: Velen is right. We must stand beside the demon hunters and focus on the Legion. Now is not the time to-- Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: The Horde betrayed your father and left us to die! To fight alongside those cowards would dishonor everything he stood for. Prophet Velen says: My people know the price of facing demons as a world divided. It is time to unite our forces and defend our lands. Anduin Wrynn says: Agreed. I'm sorry, Jaina, but vengeance must wait.

I trust you're mobilizing the Kirin Tor as we discussed? Anduin Wrynn says: We must not splinter like this Please, Jaina! But sooner or later, you will see the truth. You all will! Anduin Wrynn says: My father dead Jaina fixed on revenge Everything is falling apart.

Archmage Khadgar says: Thank you all for gathering on such short notice. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Khadgar, we don't have time to waste in meetings.

The Legion is advancing and the Horde arms for battle. Archmage Khadgar says: Then I'll get right to the point. For the Kirin Tor to fight at full strength, we need the mages of the Horde to join our ranks. Do you hear me, Khadgar? Archmage Khadgar says: Jaina, we know the pain you've endured. They left us to die on the Broken Shore. Again and again they've proven to be monsters Archmage Khadgar says: I've made my case. With respect, I move for a vote. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Very well.

But consider your choice carefully. The World of Warcraft is an expansive universe. You're playing the game, you're fighting the bosses, you know the how -- but do you know the why? What do you do when you've lost everything -- your friends, your family, your home, even the essence of what made you Jaina Proudmoore has undergone this transformation in Mists of Pandaria , and come out the other side a drastically changed woman as a result.

After the successful defeat of Deathwing in Cataclysm , Jaina and her coastal city were the unfortunate target of the very faction she's spent years of her life trying to unsuccessfully champion.

I, Garrosh, will humble them and reduce them to begging for mere morsels of food and a place to sleep, while the Horde avails itself of their riches. Their cities are cut off from aid by stout Horde battleships, and when we are ready to invade, they will fall before us like wheat before the scythe! The Attack on Theramore Isle [3] also referred to as the Battle of Theramore [4] [5] and the Destruction of Theramore [6] was a battle that took place not long before the events of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria.

The battle took place between the Alliance defenders of the Isle and the Horde assailants, led by the instigator of the attack, Garrosh Hellscream. The battle took place for over a day, ultimately culminating in the bombing and subsequent annihilation of Theramore Isle and the majority of its defenders.

The events are described in detail in the novel Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War and can be experienced in-game in the scenario Theramore's Fall. Following the fall of Northwatch Hold , Baine Bloodhoof , horrified by Garrosh's use of enslaved molten giants, sends Perith Stormhoof to warn Jaina Proudmoore of Northwatch's fall and that Theramore was next on his target list.

With Hellscream deciding to not press the attack, Jaina was able to gather reinforcements and commanders in the form of General Marcus Jonathan , Shandris Feathermoon , Thaddus Stoutblow and Horran Redmane , while evacuating the children and other civilians by boat. Nearly a dozen members of the Kirin Tor led by Rhonin who was accompanied by his wife Vereesa Windrunner , joined in the defense of Theramore, with the reasoning that doing nothing would be tacitly supporting the Horde.

However, many of those defending Theramore found themselves unprepared for the terrible scope of Garrosh's true plans. As the Horde moves into Dustwallow Marsh the Horde ground assault splits in two with forces under the command of Garrosh Hellscream assaulting the North Gate, while those under the command of Malkorok , Garrosh's second in command, assault the West Gate.

Meanwhile, the Horde navy engages in battle with the defenders at Theramore's harbor. While an ambush on Malkorok's forces is initially successful Pained and those under her command are forced to retreat to Theramore. Over the course of the battle, Jaina's apprentice Kinndy Sparkshine is able to magically empower the West Gate so that it does not fall during the battle.

While Malkorok's forces were faced with these setbacks, Garrosh's forces were luckier. While lives were lost in the fight against Captain Wymor or by the hidden bombs detonated by Adolphus Blastwidget , Garrosh who was engaged in combat with the captain was strangely unharmed. Furthermore, as the north gate came under attack it became increasingly weaker due to the actions of Thalen Songweaver , a Horde spy who had come with the Kirin Tor.

While Jaina and Pained stopped the traitor and sent him to Captain Evencane , they were unable to prevent the fall of the North Gate. As the invading army advanced into Theramore, Garrosh would engage in battle with several of Theramore's defenders like Thaddus Stoutblow and Horran Redmane , Pained would go toe to toe against Baine Bloodhoof , and Jaina would focus her attacks on the Horde's long-range support.

Yes, she was young at that point — only eleven or so when she first met Arthas on her way to Dalaran. Once in Dalaran, she buried herself in her studies so thoroughly that there are no real records of her returning home at all, even for a visit. She had a good relationship with both of her parents, however, and neither objected to her engagement to Arthas. Why would they? When that engagement abruptly ended, Jaina buried herself even further in her studies.

And then she took what survivors she could muster and she left for Kalimdor, putting all thoughts of Arthas firmly behind her. On Kalimdor, Jaina set out to find the mysterious prophet who had urged her to take the journey. The Burning Legion threatened the world, and it would take a united force to stop the invasion. Although initially wary, Jaina agreed…and found herself wrapped up in the middle of a war that was eventually won.

In Thrall, Jaina saw something once thought impossible — the potential for peace and some kind of diplomatic resolution between the Alliance and the Horde.

Unfortunately, her father showed up at precisely the wrong moment. Jaina was torn. And in the event that said enemies came calling again, unity would once again be necessary. It was a certainty. So she stood aside, letting the Horde take him down. And then she put all thoughts of her father firmly behind her and led Theramore with all the grace she could muster.

It was fixed on her future as a mage in Dalaran when she left Kul Tiras to study there. It was fixed on a potentially bright future with Arthas, until that crashed around her and sent her back to Dalaran. It returned to that bright future as a mage, until the Scourge arrived and tore that path to pieces. And as the years passed, Jaina tried her hardest to draw others into that bright future with her.
